Ambassador H.E. Kyle Scott gave a lecture in Niš on the topic Relations between the U.S.A. and Serbia in the era of Donald Trump, with the talk organised by the Club of Serbian-American Friendship and the U.S. Embassy in Belgrade.

According to Ambassador Scott, despite the fact that Donald Trump did not mention the Balkans in his campaign, he doubts there will be any change in the policy towards Serbia, because the interests of the United States have always been based on the stability of the region, economic growth, the modernisation of the economy and the EU integration of Serbia and the surrounding countries.

However, the U.S. Ambassador considers that we should await the formation of the government, especially given that it is still unknown who the Secretary of State will be, which will certainly determine relations between the two countries in the future.

He added that our countries have been allied throughout history and that Serbia will have a good partner in the United States if it is ready to advance towards Europe.
