H.E. Iranian Ambassador to Serbia Majid Fahim Pour hosted a reception at Belgrade’s Crowne Plaza Hotel to celebrate the National Day of Iran and mark the occasion of the 37th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution.

Welcoming the guests, the Ambassador reminded that 37 years ago, the Muslim people of Iran, under the leadership of the late Imam Khomeini and under the slogan “Independence, Freedom and the Islamic Republic”, had stood up against the tyranny of the shah and foreign colonisation.

The ambassador recalled the dynamic cooperation with the former Yugoslavia, with the expectation that – following last year’s visits of Iranian and Serbian officials – these relations would develop in all fields, especially in the economy.
