This June the Residence of the Kingdom of Belgium opened its doors for the IWC End of the Term Coffee Morning. The Event was organised and hosted by Mrs Monique Driesmans – D’aes, the spouse of the ambassador of Belgium H.E. Leo D’aes.

Mrs Milica Lundin, IWC President addressed guests and thanked Mrs D’aes for her warm hospitality. The members of IWC enjoyed the Event immensely. The lady of the House took the guests through the cultural heritage of Belgium in her speech, followed by the tour of the Residence, and a beautiful musical programme performed by professional musicians.

The highlights of Belgian food were presented, starting from a variety of famous Belgian chocolates and cookies, to an extraordinary display of Belgian pastries and cakes in the main salon, including the traditional Belgian waffles station. With this charming summer gathering the International Women’s Club officially closed the Term 2017/2018 and celebrated the results achieved.
