In a significant development that marks a new chapter in Serbia’s technological landscape, the foundation stone for Muehlbauer Holding’s new production facility was ceremoniously laid in Stara Pazova. The event was graced by the presence of Anke Konrad, Germany’s Ambassador to Serbia, and Aleksandar Vučić, the President of Serbia, highlighting the project’s importance in strengthening the economic and technological ties between Germany and Serbia.

Muehlbauer Group, a global leader in the field of biometric documents, RFID technology for currency and coin verification, semiconductor industry, and precision parts, is set to expand its international operations with this new venture. The company’s initial investment in Serbia dates back to 2012 with the establishment of a technology park, which now employs around 250, mostly highly skilled workers, showcasing Muehlbauer’s commitment to innovation and high-quality employment.

Ambassador Konrad emphasized the significance of Muehlbauer’s investment in Serbia, not only for the bilateral relations between the two nations but also for the trust it signifies in the company’s expertise in smart cards and labels. The production of personal ID cards by Muehlbauer stands as a testament to the high level of confidence in the company’s technological capabilities.

The ambassador also highlighted the positive impact of the new factory and technology park on Serbia’s economy, particularly in terms of creating high-quality jobs in Stara Pazova and fostering the development of new technologies made in Serbia. This move is expected to inspire the emergence of new private companies and contribute significantly to the global e-mobility sector, as well as Serbia’s green transition and transformation efforts.
