Turkish fashion company, Tibet, has officially opened its new factory in Ćuprija. The opening ceremony was attended by Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vučić, H.E. Turkish Ambassador to Serbia Mehmed Kemal Božay, owners of company Burak Galip Akurt and Melih Tengul, and the Mayor of Ćuprija Ninoslav Erić.

It is planned that in the first year of operations the factory will employ 250 workers, while in the second year the number of employees is expected to reach 600.

The project is worth around a million euros, based on a lease agreement for the production halls and administrative buildings of former printing house Mladost.

According to an announcement by the Municipality of Ćuprija, the Turkish investor did not receive any subsidies or incentives from the Government of Serbia or the municipality to open its production facility.
