The price of gold soared in trading on the Comex exchange, a part of the New York Mercantile Exchange, above $1,800 per ounce for the first time since 5 July this year.
More precisely, the price of this precious metal increased by 0.94 percent to 1,804.5 dollars per ounce, agencies report.
At the same time, the price of silver on the Comex recorded an increase of 0.46 percent to $20.46 per ounce.
