Minister of European Integration and national IPA coordinator Jadranka Joksimovic proposed on behalf of the government, within the sixth extended round of the Investment Framework for the Western Balkans, seven projects for investment grants, the total value of the proposed projects standing at €785.5 million.

Joksimovic emphasised that she expects the Steering Board of the Investment Framework for the Western Balkans to make an official decision in December 2021 on supporting the above-mentioned proposals of the government of Serbia.

She pointed out that the comprehensiveness of the proposed measures and projects clearly indicates that their most important goal is a more balanced regional development of our country and job creation throughout Serbia, as well as achieving the goals of the Green Agenda for the Western Balkans to which we are committed together with the European Union.

Joksimovic especially pointed out the importance of the proposed projects that are designed to contribute to the growth of investments in Serbia.

The proposed projects in the transport sector include rail and water transport, in the total value of €125.2 million, while in the environmental sector, projects in the total amount of €45 million are proposed.

In the field of energy, the amount of €36.1 million was requested, while more than €30 million are planned for the Rural Broadband Internet project.
