The Young European Ambassadors (YEA) network launched new call for applications for young people from the Western Balkans between 18-29 of age who want to become leaders of change.

The YEA network was launched in August 2020 with 60 game-changers from Albania, Bosnia- Herzegovina, Kosovo*, Montenegro, North Macedonia, and Serbia. It is all about diversity and sharing a common vision: learning together about one another and about the European Union, pursuing creative projects, acquiring new skills, connecting via social media, organising inspiring events – always guided by the idea that youth activism is the most powerful tool for social change.

The ‘YEAs’ have become a well-known network, sharing with their peers information about the opportunities offered by the EU – from education and skills development to travel, advocacy and much more.

Hoping for a safer year ahead of us, we are looking forward to welcoming new young leaders, who will inspire change within their communities and across the Western Balkan region and the EU. All those interested in the new and exciting platforms for online and offline activism – from social media, podcasts and webinars to real-life events, community actions and much more – make sure you apply!

We invite you to visit our website webalkans.eu/yea/become-a-yea/ for more information about the selection process, including the terms and conditions of participation. The application phase starts on 10 June and will be open until 10 July 2021.

*This designation is without prejudice to positions on status, and is in line with UNSCR 1244/1999 and the ICJ Opinion on the Kosovo declaration of independence.
