Located in a natural site that’s unique in the world, between Beauvoir- sur-Mer and Noirmoutier Island in Vendée, France the Gois Passage is a 4 km long submersible road which the sea covers and uncovers as the tide comes in and out.
Since 1987, this historic passage has been the site for the spectacular Gois Run held on June 12 this year. This athletics event draws over 1,500 participants this year.
Apart from the popular children’s, men’s and women’s races, the famous “Race against the sea” pits thirty athletes from the international elite in a unique battle against the rising tide.
Registered on the federation calendar, the Gois Run features athletes from the main clubs in the Great West and the main groups of the Paris region.
