In honour of King’s Day, a Dutch national holiday, the Embassy of the Netherlands to Serbia hosted a reception at the Usce’s Top of the Hub.
Netherlands Ambassador Henk van den Dool welcomed numerous guests including business partners, members of the international community, and representatives of the Government and the civil sector.
Addressing the gathered crowd, the Ambassador spoke about good bilateral relations between Serbia and the Netherlands and cooperation in many fields, including economy, agriculture and culture.
This orange-themed party was supported by a number of highly successful Dutch companies in Serbia. The Netherlands owes its national colour orange to the Dutch royal family, officially called “the House of Orange.” To honour this tradition, Belgrade landmarks Ada Bridge and the Albania Palace were draped in orange on King’s Day, with the support of the City of Belgrade.
