Through “Norway for You – Serbia” project, Kingdom of Norway earmarked 500,000 Euros within a public call for support to the youth employment and social inclusion in the underdeveloped areas.

Project proposals for grants can be submitted by the business support entities, endowments and foundations registered in Serbia, while activities need to be implemented in one of the 91 local self-governments[1] included in the project. The call is opened until 8 March 2020, while the grants may vary from 20,000 to 100,000 Euros.

This public call has the objective to contribute to employment for youth and social inclusion of vulnerable and marginalised groups through improving the business environment in Serbia’s underdeveloped areas by making local businesses more sustainable and competitive and employ more youth through support provisioned by the beneficiary BSEs.

Project proposals may include interventions aiming to improve the processes of production and quality of services or products, expansion to new markets, the introduction of relevant standards and certification, youth employment and enhancing of the business environment on the local level. Beneficiaries of these activities must be citizens of the towns and municipalities included in the “Norway for You – Serbia” project.

Co-funding of 10 per cent from the acceptable costs is mandatory from all for-profit applicants implementing the projects. In the case of the partnership between for-profit and no-profit entities, the cost-sharing is mandatory.

The detailed CfP criteria and supporting documentation to be submitted are available on the “Norway for You” project website (Opportunities/Public Calls). Informative session when all the interested potential applicants will be able to clarify any issues and obtain additional information about the CfP, will be held in Belgrade, Novi Sad, Niš and Užice, while exact schedule will be additionally announced.
