A New Orleans man who tried to rob a Panama City-area bank did some research beforehand, Googling “how to rob a bank,” police said.

James Alexander, 38, went to Panama City to commit the crime because it’s associated with spring break. Before robbing the bank, Panama City police said, he did research on how to pull off the heist.

According to police, Alexander took a cab to the bank and had the driver wait, unknowingly, while he committed the robbery. He was driven back to a bus station, where he was arrested while buying a ticket back to New Orleans.

He was arrested on robbery charges.
