Public Discussion On Countering Hate peech 

In marking of the International Day for Countering Hate Speech, the United Nations in Serbia, the Ministry of Human and Minority Rights and Social Dialogues of Serbia,  the OSCE Mission to Serbia, the Commissioner for the Protection of Equality and the Council of Europe Office in Belgrade kindly invite you to a high-level panel debate. 

The event will take place on 15 June at 13.00, in the Media Center, Terazije 3, I floor. 

The keynote speakers will be: Tomislav Zigmanov, Minister of Human and Minority Rights and Social Dialogue of Serbia; Brankica Jankovic, Commissioner for the Protection of Equality; Francoise Jacob, UN Resident Coordinator in Serbia; Jan Braathu, Head of the OSCE Mission to Serbia and Tobias Flessenkemper, Head of the Council of Europe Office in Belgrade. 

The moderator of this panel will be journalist Ljubica Gojgic

The event will include discussion with the keynote speakers, questions from the audience, and a media Q&A. We encourage all stakeholders to join us in taking action to combat hate speech and promote understanding, solidarity and dignity. We look forward to seeing you at the event.

The event is supported by the UN Human Rights Team in Serbia within the Human Rights 75 Initiative to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
