The Embassy of Romania in Serbia marked the Day of Romanian Unification with a formal reception at the White Palace in Belgrade.
The reception was attended by the members of Government of Serbia, representatives of public and cultural life, the diplomatic corps, high military officials, church dignitaries and others.
The guests were welcomed by the Ambassador of Romania to Serbia H.E. Silvia Davidou, who emphasized the strong relations between Romania and Serbia and reminded of the traditional friendship of our people.
Romania celebrates the Day of Romanian Unification in memory of 1 December 1918, when Transylvania was united with the Kingdom of Romania, and borders were returned to Bessarabia and Bukovina.
