A veil of mystery surrounds a piece of forest located outside the village of Nowe Czarnowo in Poland, where a grove of 400 oddly-shaped pine trees exists.
The strange sight known as Crooked Forest was planted in the 1930s, probably by the local population, and it is one of the weirdest natural locations to be seen on the planet.
Surrounded by normal pines, these 400 trees are bent at 90 degrees, just above their base, with the curve going back upright after some 1 to 3 metres of veering sideways.
