Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Russian President Vladimir Putin have agreed to organize the next round of talks between the Russian and Ukrainian delegations in Istanbul, said Erdogan’s cabinet after a telephone conversation with Putin.
The presidents of the two countries reportedly discussed the latest developments in the Russian-Ukrainian war and the negotiation process.
“Presidents Erdogan and Putin have agreed to organize the next meeting of the Russian and Ukrainian delegations in Istanbul”, read the statement, as reported by TASS.
Turkish presidency spokesman Ibrahim Kalin told CNN that talks would be held on Tuesday.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that Ukraine is ready to discuss neutrality and non-nuclear status of the country in the Turkish capital if it receives security guarantees.
