Russia and Ukraine are approaching a compromise and could soon sign a document ending the war, said both parties.
“Compared to the start of negotiations, Moscow and Kiev have made important progress in achieving results”, said Russian delegation member and head of Duma Committee on International Affairs Leonid Slutsky to RT, adding:
“Personally I expect this progress could be developed in the next few days into a unified position of both delegations, in documents for signing”.
On the other hand, Ukrainian delegation member and presidential adviser Mikhail Podoljak also confirmed that he thinks that progress in negotiations with Russia could be achieved in the coming days. He pointed out that Moscow and Kiev are approaching a compromise in the negotiations.
“In principle, we will not give in on any point. Russia now understands that. Russia is already starting to talk constructively. I think we will achieve some results in a few days”, said Podoljak in a video published on the Internet, reports Reuters.
With this in mind, adviser to the Ukrainian President’s Chief of Cabinet Mikhail Podoljak confirmed that negotiations with Russia will continue on Monday.
“Negotiations are held continuously in the form of video conferences. Working groups are constantly working, a large number of issues demand constant attention. A negotiating session will be held on Monday, 14 March to summarize preliminary results”, wrote Podoljak on Twitter as reported by TASS.
This was confirmed by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, saying that negotiations are continuing in virtual form.
