The President of the United States of America, Joe Biden, turned 80 years old and became the first US sitting president while entering a ninth decade.
His wife, Jill, posted a message on Twitter along with photos of the couple dancing. “There is no one else I would rather dance with. Happy birthday, Joe! I love you,” the First Lady wrote.
The president celebrated his birthday at a modest ceremony organized by his wife. Family members, already in Washington for the wedding of Biden’s granddaughter on Saturday, were among the guests.
US media speculate that Biden, in the closest circle of his family, considered a decision about a possible candidacy in the presidential elections in 2024, about which he will inform the public at the beginning of next year.
Polls, however, show that most Americans do not want Biden to run again.
