In their fifth call as leaders, Chinese President Xi Jinping warned U.S. President Joe Biden against “playing with fire” over Taiwan.

This comes after the announcement of the possible visit to the Chinese-claimed island Taiwan by U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.

Xi told Biden that the United States should abide by the “one-China principle” stressing that China opposed Taiwanese independence, as well the interference from external forces, it was reported by the Chinese state media.
