Three Chinese astronauts have returned to Earth with 34.6 kilograms of space samples, Chinese state media reported.
The arrival of these samples in Beijing marks the seventh batch of scientific experimental samples from China’s Tiangong space station. The samples include 28 experiments related to life in space and space materials.
The Shenzhou-18 spacecraft, carrying astronauts Ye Guangfu, Li Kong, and Li Guangsu, landed in Dongfeng, in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.
The crew spent 192 days in space since April 25. Before they hold a media briefing, they will undergo quarantine and extensive medical examinations, which could last for months.
During their mission, they conducted two spacewalks and utilized scientific experiment cabinets for research in areas such as fundamental physics, microgravity, space material science, space science, space medicine, and space technology.
Their first spacewalk in May set a new record for the longest spacewalk conducted by Chinese astronauts.
