Last year, China exported goods worth approximately €3.4 trillion, marking a 7.1% increase from the previous year and the highest export value recorded since measurements began.
Imports also rose by 2.3%, reaching a total of €2.45 trillion, according to China’s state television CCTV, with total trade growing by 5% to €5.85 trillion.
In December alone, exports improved by 10.7% compared to the same period in 2023, while imports increased by 1%, as reported by the French news agency AFP.
Exports remain the primary driver of the world’s second-largest economy, and China is actively working to boost domestic consumption through measures such as increasing personal incomes for public sector employees.
