Serbian shooters Zorana Arunović and Damir Mikec have secured a gold medal at the Paris Olympic Games in the 10-meter air pistol mixed team event.
This victory marks Serbia’s first medal at the Paris Olympics.
Arunović and Mikec triumphed in a closely contested final against the Turkish duo, Seval Ilayda Tarhan and Yusuf Dikec, with a final score of 16-14. Their precision and teamwork propelled them to the top of the podium, bringing glory to their nation.
The bronze medal was claimed by Indian shooters Manu Bhaker and Sarabjot Singh, further highlighting the intense competition in this event. Arunović and Mikec’s gold medal win not only adds to their personal accolades but also boosts Serbia’s standing in the shooting sports at the international level.
