Serbian tennis player and the best tennis player in the world Novak Djokovic announced the regional tournament “Adria Tour” where he will gather the world’s top tennis players

Novak’s “Adria Tour” will be held from June 13 to July 5, on the grounds of TC Novak (June 13-14), then Zadar (June 20-21), Montenegro (June 27-28) and Banja Luci (July 3-4).

Djokovic will play matches in all cities, and next to him, one of the greatest tennis players, Austrian Dominik Tim, the third tennis player on the planet, a three-time Grand Slam finalist, winner of 16 ATP cups, including one from the Masters 1000 series in Indian Wells.

The participation was also confirmed by the Bulgarian Grigor Dimitrov, a tennis player whose third position on the ranking list was the best placement, and he is currently the 19th player on the planet. He has won eight singles titles in his career so far and is one of the best competitors from this area.

Some more names from the very top of tennis are expected to arrive, but it has not been officially confirmed at the moment.

Among the domestic players, Viktor Troicki will also play, a member of the golden Serbian generation from 2010, which won the Davis Cup, but also won the ATP Cup in team competitions for our country this year, as well as the World Cup in 2009 and 2012. He achieved his greatest success in 2011 when he climbed to the 12th position of the ranking list. He has won three singles titles so far, the Kremlin Cup and two trophies in Sydney.

The tournament is designed to raise funds for humanitarian projects across the region, including the Novak Djokovic Foundation’s early childhood development and education programs.

At the same time, the aim is also to help tennis players get back in shape and competitive rhythm due to the situation with the coronavirus.

The system that will be applied is “Round Robin”, which means that everyone will play with everyone in two groups, of four players each. Specifically, on Saturday, each tennis player will have two matches, and on Sunday, another match in the group, and then the finals will be played between the two best. It is planned to be played on two won sets, up to four games.

In case the presence of the audience is enabled, tickets will be available for two sessions per day, and the dates will be announced later. The program will be completed with doubles with celebrities, as well as tennis events for children. All matches will be broadcast on Sportklub television channels, and pictures from the region will go around the world.

This tournament is played for a prize fund that TSS has already set aside with the help of Novak Djokovic.
