Serbian high jumper Angelina Topić has claimed the title of World Junior Champion after clearing 1.91 metres in the final at the World Championships in Lima. 

Dominating the competition, Topić was unmatched in her pursuit of gold, being the only athlete to successfully surpass the 1.91-metre mark.

This victory solidifies Topić’s standing as a rising star in athletics, as she now holds both the European and World Junior titles in the under-20 category. Her triumph in Lima follows her victory at last year’s European Junior Championships in Jerusalem, where she secured gold with a jump of 1.90 metres.
