The international architectural competition for the new Nikola Tesla Museum building concluded on December 17, with the winning project selected from Zaha Hadid Architects and Bureau Cube Partners, according to the Serbian government.
The new museum will be housed in the historic Milan Vapa paper factory, later the headquarters of Jugošped, built in the early 20th century in Belgrade. This relocation will significantly expand the museum’s space from the current 250 square meters to nearly 6,000 square meters.

The competition, held from October 14 to December 17, received 46 submissions. The new facility aims to accommodate the growing interest in the museum, which welcomed over 180,000 visitors in 2024—a record since its opening.
