The Serbian passport has been ranked 30th on the 2024 list of the world’s most powerful passports, led by the United Arab Emirates (UAE) for the fourth consecutive year.
Spain secured second place, while Finland climbed to third, sharing the position with France, Germany, Belgium, Italy, Denmark, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Austria, Portugal, Norway, Switzerland, Greece, and Ireland.
Among countries in the region, Croatia’s passport ranks 22nd, followed by Slovenia (23rd), North Macedonia (65th), Montenegro (66th), Bosnia and Herzegovina (73rd), Albania (74th), and Kosovo (93rd).
The global index is determined by the number of countries citizens can visit without a visa. UAE passport holders enjoy visa-free access to 133 countries and visa-on-arrival access to an additional 47, covering more than 90% of the world.
