Serbian para table tennis players Nadežda Matić and Borislava Perić Ranković won the silver medal after being defeated in the final of the Paralympic Games in Paris by China’s Gu Xiaodan and Pan Jiamin with a score of 3:1 in sets.
With this achievement, the para table tennis players have secured Serbia’s first medal at the Games, following the disqualification of Nebojša Đurić’s silver medal in shot put due to inadequate equipment.
By winning the silver medal, the Serbian para table tennis players have continued their streak of medal victories at the Paralympics.
Perić Ranković has previously won one gold and three silver medals at the Paralympic Games, while Matić has secured one silver and one bronze.
