Serbian high jumper Angelina Topić secured a silver medal at the European Championships in Rome, clearing a height of 1.97 metres in the final.
Topić, who won a bronze at the previous European championships, achieved 1.97 metres on her third attempt, missed at 1.99 metres, and then failed three times at 2.01 metres.
She had previously cleared 1.86, 1.90, and 1.95 metres on her first attempts, and succeeded at 1.93 metres after a second attempt.
The gold was won by Ukrainian Yaroslava Mahuchikh with a jump of 2.01 metres, while her compatriot Iryna Herashchenko took the bronze with 1.95 metres.
