Russia imported a total of 178,300 metric tons of apples from the beginning of the year until May 26, according to a report by the Russian Federal Veterinary and Phytosanitary Service released to TASS. 

The report highlighted that Serbia was the largest exporter, shipping 30,900 metric tons of apples to Russia this year, followed by Azerbaijan with 28,400 metric tons and China with 15,200 metric tons. In comparison, Russia’s total apple imports for 2023 stood at 417,030 metric tons.
