The members of the American Chamber of Commerce in Serbia (AmCham) elected two new members to the Board of Directors at the General Assembly. Based on the voting, Ana Drašković from VISA was elected as the second vice president, while Igor Lončarević from KPMG was re-elected as the Secretary-Treasurer of the Board of Directors.
Amalija Pavić, Deputy Director of AmCham, presented the annual report on the Chamber’s work, highlighting that the past year ended with a record number of members since its founding. AmCham Serbia began the year 2025 with 270 international and domestic companies, whose total revenue exceeds 21 billion euros and employ more than 119,000 people in Serbia.
“We entered 2025 with the largest number of members to date, which confirms the importance and influence of the AmCham community, but also represents an additional responsibility for our future work. We are continuing with the same priorities, which I believe can accelerate the development of the economy, modernize it, and make it more resilient to crises, with a special focus on the digital transformation in public administration, the judiciary, healthcare, trade, and the labor market. We will also further work on the implementation of ESG principles, particularly in the areas of environmental protection and energy transition, as well as strengthening economic relations between Serbia and the United States. We believe that cooperation with the new U.S. administration will bring benefits to the economy and business of all our members, while AmCham will continue to be their voice and support in the reform processes that contribute to improving the business environment,” said Stefan Lazarević, President of AmCham.
“In order for the reform processes to be successfully implemented and for the positive economic results to be preserved, as well as for the economic environment to be further and systematically improved, we expect the focus in the coming period to be on the rule of law, the continuation of EU integration, greater transparency, and strengthening institutional capacities, so that we can institutionally respond to all the challenges ahead,” Lazarević added.
