The International Women’s Club of Belgrade (IWC) successfully hosted its 2024 Charity Bazaar on 1st December at the Hyatt Regency Belgrade, attracting nearly 2,000 visitors and raising over 4 million RSD to support women’s empowerment initiatives across Serbia.
The Bazaar featured 35 booths from international embassies and organizations, offering a diverse selection of handmade crafts, food, and gifts, along with a food court, cultural performances, and a raffle with nearly 300 prizes. All proceeds from the event will benefit projects focused on gender-based violence, economic empowerment, and supporting survivors of abuse.
Among the event’s prominent guests were Tamara Vučić, the First Lady of Serbia, as well as Minister Tatjana Macura, the Minister without Portfolio responsible for gender equality, the prevention of violence against women, and the economic and political empowerment of women.
“I am pleased to see such strong participation in this year’s Bazaar,” said Andrea Pavukova, President of the IWC and spouse of the Slovak Ambassador to Serbia. “The funds raised will directly support projects that improve the lives of women across Serbia, and we are grateful for the generosity of everyone who contributed to the success of the event.”
In total, the Bazaar raised over 4 million RSD, with additional donations expected by the end of the year. These funds will be allocated by the IWC Charity Committee in spring 2025 to support projects addressing critical issues such as domestic violence, femicide, and poverty among women
