In a significant step towards enhancing Sino-Serbian relations, a delegation from the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences (CAAS) signed two memoranda of understanding with Serbia’s Institute for Applied Agriculture Science (IPN).
The agreements, formalized during the official visit to Belgrade, focus on fostering scientific and economic collaboration between Serbia and leading Chinese agricultural institutions—the Institute of Field Crops and the Institute of Horticulture and Floriculture in Beijing.

The memorandums are set to pave the way for expert training, knowledge exchange, and the development of cutting-edge technologies aimed at advancing modern agriculture and sustainable supply chains. Present at the signing ceremony were Ambassador Li Ming, representatives from the Serbian Chamber of Commerce (PKS), and government officials from the Ministries of Science and Agriculture.
IPN director Dr. Rade Jovanović hailed the deal as a major success, while PKS’s Mihailo Vesović underscored the importance of linking science, innovation, and business. Ambassador Li emphasized the strategic importance of scientific promotion for sustainable development.
