Teams from Serbia claimed the top three spots at the regional programming competition ICPC SEERC 2024 (The 2024 Southeastern European Regional Contest) in Romania, competing against 91 teams from ten countries, announced CET Computer Science College – Computer Science High School.
This marks the best achievement for Serbia to date, with all three teams advancing to the European and World levels of the ICPC competition.
The first place was won by students from the University of Novi Sad (Infinity – Tadija Šebez, Nikola Pešić, Viktor Lučić), second place by students from the Union University’s School of Computing (RAF 100011 – Miloš Milutinović, Aleksa Danić, and Vasilije Novaković), and third place by students from the University of Belgrade (Physicists – Mihailo Jančević, Filip Bojković, Mladen Puzić).
All three teams have qualified for the ICPC Europe competition, which will be held from 28 February to 2 March 2025, in Portugal.
Additionally, the teams from the University of Novi Sad and the Union University School of Computing have directly qualified for the global level of the prestigious ICPC (The International Collegiate Programming Contest), which will take place in Kazakhstan.
