While a digital evolution is transforming the way the world operates, we have also reached an inflexion point. Government and business leaders recognise the tremendous economic benefits held by digitisation. It is an opportunity to address GDP growth and job creation; it drives efficiencies, competitiveness and innovation on the local, regional and global stages.

Cisco NetAcad was established in Serbia in 2002. Over these 15 years, the number of active academies has grown to 31 nationwide, with more than 6,500 students having completed courses

20 YEARS OF CISCO NETWORKING ACADEMY

Cisco set up its Networking Academy in 1997 as its largest Corporate Social Responsibility initiative and it has since become the world’s largest technology classroom. As a free education programme that has helped 7.8 million students since its inception, NetAcad is a huge social endeavour.

With over a million students enrolled in over 180 countries today, NetAcad partners closely with 22,000 educators at over 9,600 schools, colleges and universities to develop and deliver a curriculum that gives students the digital, problem-solving and entrepreneurial skills they need to gain employment, earn a promotion or start their own business. Our students do more than gain technical mastery, they come away prepared to drive innovation and help companies meet the challenges of digital transformation.

Some 70% of those who complete advanced courses obtain new or better jobs, take on increased responsibility or earn higher salaries. While NetAcad courses help students learn key technology skills, they also focus on creating a new generation of global problem solvers who innovate as technologists, think like entrepreneurs and act as social change agents.

NETWORKING ACADEMY IN SERBIA

Cisco NetAcad was established in Serbia in 2002. Over these 15 years, the number of active academies has grown to 31 nationwide, with more than 6,500 students have completed courses.
