European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen has announced that the EU has dispatched rescue teams to Bosnia and Herzegovina in response to severe flooding.
“We have activated the EU civil protection mechanism and are sending rescue teams to the field. This is EU solidarity in action,” von der Leyen shared on the social platform “X”.
She expressed the EU’s support for those affected, stating, “The EU stands with the people of Bosnia and Herzegovina, affected by the devastating floods, in heart and mind.”
