Prime Minister Ana Brnabic, Speaker of the National Assembly Ivica Dacic and Minister of Justice Maja Popovic held another consultation today on changing the Constitution in the field of justice.

The announcement of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia states that the officials discussed the formation of a working group to change the Constitution as soon as possible, so that all participants would have time to draft amendments until the meeting with the Venice Commission.

Members of the State Prosecutors’ Council and the Association of Judges and Prosecutors will also be invited to the working group, so that the process is fully transparent and includes all relevant actors.

The Committee on Constitutional Issues and Legislation previously adopted the proposal of the government of Serbia to change the Constitution, it is said in the announcement.
