Serbia is on the right track when it comes to economic reforms, but the journey it has to make is long, U.S. Ambassador Kyle Scott has said in an interview for daily tabloid Kurir.
“Serbia is lagging behind by about a generation. It has lost quite a lot of time in the nineties and the millennium years. But it seems the government is now on the right track,” said Ambassador Scott.
He said fiscal consolidation and fundamental budget topics seem to be under control, and now we need to look to some other things – structural reforms in major public enterprises, which is not an easy task, and bringing Serbian economy back on the road of dynamic growth.
