In a year defined by growing global uncertainty, the United Nations has reaffirmed its role as a key development partner in Serbia, delivering $95 million in support across more than 200 initiatives throughout 2024.

The newly released Annual Report from the UN team in Serbia details a broad portfolio of programmes aimed at bolstering green transition, climate resilience, social equality, and the rule of law.

From upgrading heating and wastewater systems to pioneering Serbia’s first Green Infrastructure Strategy, the UN’s efforts are shaping tangible improvements.

Early childhood services and mental health support have expanded, digital tools are modernising healthcare and education, and protections against gender-based violence are being fortified.
