The University of Belgrade marked its 214th anniversary with the ceremonial academy where the “professor emeritus” and “student generation” awards were presented, as well as awards for the best scientific research papers in the previous academic year.

The Rector of the University of Belgrade Vladan Đokić stated that the University has produced more than half a million academic citizens, about 20,000 PhDs and more than 50 emeritus professors since its establishment.
