The Ambassador of Egypt to Serbia H.E. Bassel Salah hosted a formal reception on the occasion of the National Day of Egypt, marking 70 years since the modern Arab Republic was proclaimed.

On this occasion ambassador Bassel Salah expressed his gratitude to the President of Serbia and the Government for the “magnificent welcome” of President of Egypt Abdel Fattah el-Sisi.

The reception, which was attended by numerous dignitaries, including Parliament Speaker Ivica Dacic, and which followed only five days after the historic visit of President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi to Belgrade, was an opportunity for the Ambassador to remind that this visit is an indicator of strong friendly ties and the desire of both parties to strongly encourage bilateral relations in all spheres.

“The visit of President El Sisi is not only historic, the first in the last 35 years, but it is a visit of essential importance for the establishment of a relationship based on a strategic partnership,” the ambassador said.
