For the second consecutive year, the Swiss Embassy in Serbia provides incentives to young Serbian visual artists, continuing to nurture the institution of the annual competition titled “Private Value”.

Five chosen artists will receive financial support for the realisation of their projects and have the opportunity to participate in the collective exhibition that will be realised from the end of June to the end of July 2019 at the residence of the Ambassador of Switzerland in Belgrade.

The focus of the exhibition, in line with the continuity of the previous year, will be “Private Value”.

Applicants should be born in 1993 and later, with permanent residence on the territory of the Republic of Serbia for at least three years. Artistic works with which to apply can be paintings, photographs, video works, installations and sculptures (indoors and outdoors).

Artist selected to participate in the exhibition will receive EUR 500 each. Among the artists whose works will be exhibited, the expert jury will select an artist who will be awarded a special prize of 2000 euros. Also, the works will be auctioned for the duration of the exhibition with the permission of the author.

Applications for the “Private Value 2019” contest must be submitted in PDF format with a maximum size of 10 MB, which should contain three to five works, including titles, dimensions and year of creation. The document should include the artist’s biography and motivation letter (maximum 300 words). Applications sent via Dropbox, WeTransfer or similar will not be accepted.
