The student team “Rooftop”, from the Academy of Vocational Studies Belgrade from the department of the Higher School of Hotel Management, won the European competition “Ecotrophelia” in Paris.

The excellent accomplishement of students from Serbia was achieved in competition with 15 teams from well-known universities from the most developed European countries, where the team members from Serbia were also the youngest participants.

The international jury declared their “Beetscuits”, an organic extruded snack made from gluten-free grains and tropical beets, as the best product in the competition.

The student team “Rooftop” consist of Anastasija Spasojević, Magdalena Sekulić, Nina Sinđelić and Stefan Terek, with mentor and professor Ana Kalušević.

They are also the winners of the tenth national student competition in the creation of eco-innovative food products, organized by the Association of Food Technologists of Serbia.
