Mexico respects the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Serbia, and the exchange of parliamentary visits is essential for establishing better contacts between MPs of the two countries, said H.E. Carlos Felix, Ambassador of Mexico in Serbia, during an meeting with President of the National Assembly of Serbia Ivica Dacic.

Ambassador Felix and Dacic discussed the improvement of bilateral relations. Dacic said that with Serbia and Mexico, geographic distance has never been an obstacle to close cooperation and both agreed that Serbia could always count on the support of Mexico in the international arena.

They agreed that during the 76 years of diplomatic relations between Mexico and Serbia, a strong bilateral relations and friendly ties were built and should be improved through the development of close relations of both parliaments, whose formation will be a priority for Serbia when the new parliament starts to work.

Ambassador Felix thanked the President of the National Assembly of Serbia on the efforts which is invested in the strengthening of ties between Serbia and Mexico, according to a statement of the Serbian Parliament.
