Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management Branislav Nedimovic met yesterday with representatives of the Food and Drug Administration of Saudi Arabia, who officially informed him that Serbia has been placed on the list of approved exporters. food to that country.

After more than 40 years, milk and dairy products will be able to be exported to Saudi Arabia. Fruits and vegetables can also be exported without hindrance, while permits for the export of sheep and beef are expected in the next 20 days.

The possibility of placing Serbian food on this high-paying market represents an excellent opportunity for our producers, especially in a situation when food prices reach record levels.

The value of the exchange between the two countries for products that could be exported grows every year and only last year reached $9 million, while in six months of 2022 it is already at the level of $6 million.
