The Russian news channel Russia Today (RT) will open its representative office in Serbia. The formation of the newsroom and discussions with candidates for journalistic and editorial positions are underway.

For now, it is not known when RT will start operating and broadcasting through the cable systems of domestic operators.

The news about the preparation of the opening of RT Serbia was confirmed by Ljubinka Milinčić, the chief and responsible editor of Sputnjik in Serbia.

“Yes, it is true. RT will not start working in Serbia now, but is under way,” Milinćić told the Nova.rs portal.
