Prime Minister Ana Brnabić welcomed today a plane sent by the Russian Federation to Serbia carrying eight doctors and other staff, as well as assistance with equipment – ventilators, medicines and other equipment

In the presence of the Ambassador of Russia to Serbia H.E. Alexander Botsan-Kharchenko, PM Ana Brnabić expressed her gratitude to the Russian Federation for the assistance it provided to Serbia in the fight against coronavirus and told citizens that without iron discipline, even with all medicines, equipment and experts from different countries of the world, we cannot win this war.

She stated that this is partnership assistance that the Russian Federation sends to other countries too, noting that the world has become a place where partnership and community are important in this fight.

The Prime Minister expressed her gratitude for the arrival of medical teams with special units for biological and anti-chemical defence, motor vehicles for disinfection and containers for medical equipment.

Brnabic said that this is one of ten planes sent by Russian President Vladimir Putin, estimating that we have everything we need – our partners from all over the world, equipment, excellent health professionals, scientists and laboratories, but that we lack the iron discipline to win.

She once again asked everyone to take this seriously and to disregard nice weather and sun, adding that we are now in the fifth week of the epidemic.
