An online regional investment platform with all information important for an overview of the investment and business climate and for taking decisions about investment in the region’s economy will be globally available to companies interested in investing and working in the Western Balkans already from 2018, said Marko Čadež, president of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce.
Čadež said that key macroeconomic indicators, all information on the legal framework, financial and other incentives, the market and concrete projects for investors will be available to its users in one place. Experiences of companies that have already invested in the region will also be presented on the portal.
According to Čadež, the content of the portal will be an important contribution to the rule of law and transparency in the region’s economies. It will be one more tool for creating recommendations for decision-makers, for chambers that are members of the Chamber Investment Forum.
The project is financed by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development as part of the EU’s support to the Permanent Secretariat of the Chamber Investment Forum based in Trieste for connecting business communities and attracting investment to the Western Balkan region. Development of the portal has been supported by the BMW Foundation, the consulting company Roland Berger and Karanović Nikolić law office.
