The President of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce (PKS) Marko Čadež signed the Agreement on the establishment of the Serbian-Saudi Business Council with the Chairman of the Federation of Saudi Chambers of Commerce Hassan Al-Huwaizi, with the aim of strengthening economic cooperation between Serbia and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA).
As reported by PKS, Marko Čadež said on that occasion that Serbian companies are “greatly interested” in cooperation with partners from Saudi Arabia, and that is why he will initiate the opening of the representative office of PKS and chambers of the Western Balkans in that country.
According to his words, the economies of the two countries are facing a period of intensive cooperation, and in June domestic companies will participate in the “Saudi Food” food fair in Saudi Arabia, organized by PKS and the Development Agency of Serbia.
Also, in the coming weeks, the first meeting of the Business Council will be held in order to consider as soon as possible the possibilities of investment and joint projects of the two economies, especially in the sectors of agriculture and investments in the livestock fund of Serbia, ICT, and in spa and health tourism.
“We want to open the market of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for companies from Serbia and the region, for our companies to invest in the construction of logistics centers in that country, to increase the export of domestic products, as well as for the businessmen of that country to come to us and invest in the development of our agriculture and spas. tourism,” said Čadež.
Hassan Al-Huwaizi, chairman of the Federation of Saudi Chambers of Commerce, under whose auspices more than 1.3 million companies operate in Saudi Arabia, emphasized that the good and friendly relations between the two countries should be further improved on the economic front and invited Serbian businessmen to visit his country and get acquainted with the possibilities of joint cooperation.
