Belgrade is a city with more than 1.5 million inhabitants who annually produce about 500,000 tons of waste. Over the past 40 years, most of this waste has ended up here, at the largest unregulated landfill in Europe.
Over time, the landfill reached an area corresponding to the size of 185 football stadiums. With the new investment, it will be turned into a modern landfill while respecting the principles of environmental sustainability.
