Marko Čadež, president of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia, has been elected to the General Council of the World Chambers Federation (WCF), representing more than 100 chambers worldwide. His mandate runs until June 2028.
Chosen by chambers from 120 countries, Čadež joins 20 global leaders tasked with deepening international cooperation and supporting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
The new Council will prioritise access to global markets, digital transformation, innovation, and greater SME integration into international supply chains.
Čadež called the appointment a shared recognition for Serbia and the region, underscoring the value of collective efforts in creating better business conditions and strengthening international ties.
His election marks a notable boost for the region’s voice in global trade policymaking.
